Artist Statement

My work is an exploration of the human condition and the intricate connections that shape our experiences. I am fascinated by the ways in which people’s lives intersect—how every conversation, habit, and chance contributes to who we become. Through expressive line drawings, paintings, and murals, I seek to capture the weight of these moments, celebrating both their complexity and beauty.

My early drawing series, Intricate Connections, examined the layered nature of human relationships. What Are the Odds expanded on this exploration, reflecting on the seemingly small details that define us—the objects we collect, the spaces we create, the friendships we form. More recently, I have been drawn to disruptive realism, experimenting with texture, colour, and line, often drawing inspiration from fashion to enhance the depth of my compositions.

Beyond my studio practice, I work at Farrow & Ball in London, Ontario, where I assist people in making design choices and selecting wallpapers. This experience has deepened my appreciation for how personal environments reflect identity, further influencing my approach to murals and spatial storytelling.

At its core, my art invites us to pause and consider the narratives woven into everyday life—the visible and invisible forces that shape who we are. Whether through a canvas, a mural, or a carefully curated space, I aim to highlight the beauty in the details we often overlook.
